HOUSTON HONORS TERMS & CONDITIONS

Houston Honors is a media, recognition, and community initiative fiscally sponsored by Houston Justice. These Terms & Conditions govern use of HoustonHonors.com and participation in Houston Honors programs, nominations, publications, events, communities, and communications.
Power 100 Nominations
Anyone may submit a nomination unless otherwise stated.
Submitting a nomination does not guarantee that the nominee will be selected, contacted, interviewed, published, recognized, or included in the Houston Honors Power 100.
Houston Honors retains final editorial discretion regarding eligibility, categories, review, selection, publication, and recognition.
Houston Honors may consider a nominee in a category different from the category originally submitted.
Accuracy of Information
By submitting information, you agree to provide information that you reasonably believe is accurate and not intentionally misleading.
You should not knowingly submit confidential, unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or infringing material.
Nominee Information
A nominator may provide limited contact information for a nominee so Houston Honors can evaluate or contact that person.
Providing another person’s mobile number does not constitute that person’s consent to receive automated SMS messages. Nominees must separately provide their own consent before being enrolled in automated Houston Honors text communications.
Houston Honors SMS Program
Houston Honors may send SMS messages relating to:
• Power 100 nomination confirmations and status updates
• Profile completion and scheduling
• Houston Honors events and participation
• Publications and editorial releases
• Power 100 and Top 10 announcements
• Community opportunities and Houston Honors news
Marketing and non-marketing SMS consent are collected separately where applicable.
Consent to receive text messages is optional and is not a condition of purchase, nomination, participation, or selection.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Houston Honors SMS programs are intended for users age 18 and older.

Editorial Discretion
Houston Honors is an editorial publication and recognition platform. Houston Honors retains final editorial control over content, selection, headlines, photography, layouts, publication schedules, categories, and related decisions.
Participation in an interview, nomination process, advisory activity, event, partnership conversation, or sponsorship discussion does not guarantee editorial coverage or Power 100 selection.
Submitted Content
If you submit writing, photographs, video, nominations, story ideas, or other materials, you represent that you have the right to submit those materials.
Unless separately agreed otherwise, submission gives Houston Honors permission to review, store, and internally evaluate those materials for editorial and program purposes.
Intellectual Property
Houston Honors names, logos, designs, editorial products, photographs, videos, and original website content may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
You may not reproduce or commercially exploit Houston Honors materials without permission except as permitted by law.
Events and Paid Offerings
Some Houston Honors events, subscriptions, publications, memberships, programs, or experiences may require payment. Additional pricing, cancellation, refund, or participation terms may be presented at the time of purchase or registration.
Third-Party Services
Houston Honors may use or link to third-party services, including payment processors, community platforms, social networks, event providers, CRM systems, production vendors, and other service providers. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
No Guarantee
Houston Honors makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate and useful information, but content and services are provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee selection, publication, attendance, media exposure, business opportunities, or other outcomes.
Changes to These Terms
Houston Honors may update these Terms as the project develops. Revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
